Living History Performance: Fife and Drum Music during the War of 1812 and the Civil War
Music was central to soldiers’ daily routines during the War of 1812 and the Civil War, with fifes and drums guiding their activities.

Join brothers Sam and Ben, living history interpreters, as they perform period music and explain its importance in the early US Army. Middle school students Sam and Ben Adams are members of the 1st Pennsylvania Reserve Volunteer Corps Civil War Field Music and Fort McHenry Guard Fife and Drum Corps.

Stop by the museum and enjoy an afternoon of music and history!
