Citizens Needed for Clean Community Committee
The Clean Community Committee of Gloucester County is seeking interested citizens from the Petsworth, Ware, and York Magisterial Districts to serve as members of the advisory group. Committee members plan and participate in cleanup, public education, and outreach activities. Currently the Committee is addressing litter prevention efforts through coordinated cleanups, advocating for improvements to Virginia’s litter law, promoting green initiatives, and working to increase awareness of how litter negatively affects the local environment.
Citizens interested in serving should complete a Volunteer Board Bank information form available on the county's website or call 804-693-5370.
Clean Community Program Volunteers Making A Difference
Gloucester County's Clean Community Program promotes litter prevention; helps educate county residents on ways to reduce, reuse, recycle, and properly manage waste materials; and assists in effective beautification to help create a healthier, safer, and more livable community. The program is directed by the Clean Community Committee and supported by hundreds of community volunteers who work to help keep Gloucester beautiful, clean, and litter free.
We truly appreciate the volunteers who give their time to help make Gloucester cleaner and greener.
